Dr Kaplan  graduated from the University of Rochester, did his residency at the  University of Washington, and his oncology fellowship at the National Cancer  Institute.  He has been the leader of  the medical oncology group and the breast cancer medical oncology group at  the Swedish Cancer Institute for many years.   His interests include clinical pharmacology, genomics, and the  evaluation of diagnostic and treatment modalities for breast cancer.
