Dr.  Barbara Parker is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North  Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her MD from Stanford University Medical  School where she pursued additional research training through the National  Institutes of Health Medical Scientist Training Program. She is board  certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and received her  postgraduate training in both specialties at UC San Diego.    Dr. Parker is Professor of Medicine with a faculty practice focused on breast  cancer and a research program focused on personalized approaches for  detecting and treating breast cancer and novel therapies for high risk  disease.
